WA - YOUR DRY SPELL CONTINUES INTO EARLY NEXT WEEK BUT FRONTAL WEATHER IS SET TO RETURN.

That will be a welcome shift, once we lose the anomalous events over the east with a more broadcast westerly flow developing with frontal weather likely to be embedded in this pattern.

All signals are for the SAM to turn back neutral, while that doesn't offer much in the way of above average rainfall, it does lift the westerly wind belt closer to Australia, allowing for some frontal weather to kick off some showery weather again.

The wild card is the moisture. Can we see that deeper moisture get involved ahead of frontal weather? Or do we end up with just broken bands of showers and below average rainfall for a while? That will be the question that needs to be answered over the course of the coming 2-4 days.

Moisture Anomalies for the Coming 2 Weeks - Note the brown shading with that drier air eventually gets overridden by moisture coming in from the north and west but it is a long way out there, plus it will take a while for the pattern to recover from this anomalous event.

That pesky block in the east needs to go for rainfall to return to the region.

Rainfall Next 10 Days - Most to come with systems in about a week's time

So while the focus is on the east at the moment, understandably, it can feel like you are being ignored. But your time will come for the Winter weather to return and there are more severe weather events in the offering this filling season.
