NT - MONSOONAL BREAK CONDITIONS CONTINUE.

Fairly similar to yesterday. The routine pop up showers and thunderstorms forecast to continue for the next few days with many areas remaining humid and rain free. But the weather is expected to turn more active from mid next week with a deeper moisture profile and the upper high over the interior forecast to move on by.

Southern areas, fairly hot weather tomorrow and into Saturday with the upper high in place with sunny skies. The weather forecast to cool over southern areas by early next week with a southerly flow developing as new high pressure ridges through the Bight bringing drier air into the region but that refreshing cooler air from SA.

Lets take a look.

FORECAST

Rainfall Next 10 Days

Fairly seasonal values are expected for northern areas of the NT with the usual pop up showers and storms but these should start to increase in coverage north of Larrimah next week as the air becomes a little colder aloft and the moisture a little deeper. The south dry for the period with high pressure at all levels keeping things settled.

Thunderstorm Forecast Friday

Thunderstorms are forecast to remain contained to the tropics with the moisture deeper north of Elliot but the air aloft is also warmer so we are not seeing widespread coverage and many areas going dry. The thunderstorms where they form could be gusty.

DATA - There are some data issues tonight from some of the models so cannot post the movie versions of the data. I believe there is an issue with some of the servers internationally.

More details coming up from 8am EDT on Friday.
