FROST RISK FOR WEDNESDAY REMAINS VERY HIGH

We saw the coldest morning of the year for many areas overnight and this morning in NSW and the ACT as well as parts of northern VIC with severe frosts and freeze conditions reported. -8C at Cooma and Goulburn and -7C in the suburbs of the ACT will likely be challenged once again on Wednesday morning but areas further west and south may see less intense cold conditions on Wednesday morning.

Moisture streaming south from the northern tropics and being drawn into an approaching upper low over the southern parts of the nation will see the risk of frosts reduce from later this week and end for the coming week, with more humidity and cloud cover over the eastern interior.

The frost risk may continue back over the NT and SA and points into WA as well under high pressure later this week into the weekend.
