EAST - FROST AND FREEZE WATCH FOR SATURDAY MORNING.

Clear skies and light winds under high pressure will contribute to a very cold night developing. Given the dry cold airmass that is in place today throughout the eastern and southeastern inland, the risk of frost is heightened, and severe frost is possible in many areas.

Freeze conditions are possible over elevated terrain in NSW and into the ACT as well as Alpine VIC and NSW. Conditions could be sufficient to destroy sensitive plants and disrupt domestic water supplies.

Conditions becoming milder through the sequence, and this should be the last of the severe frost for a while, maybe a few patches about on Sunday but widespread frost unlikely.
