Active weather has been traversing the southeast today is just clipping the southern parts of QLD with a cloud band moving through, but the lifting mechanism is not there to support widespread rainfall, very normal for this time of year being removed from the unstable westerly flow, the fronts too far south.

Cloud band moving through the southeast producing some showers and a rumble through NSW but light falls back through QLD. It has been much warmer than normal today and more of that to continue before a gusty dry afternoon with falling temperatures on Friday.

So once this front is through the east tonight, the weather generally is dry and boring for the coming 10 days, ridging setting up camp in it's winter time position so no rainfall is expected at this stage and for the remainder of the month for much of the country. Just a few onshore showers likely for the northeast.
