A COLD NIGHT ON THE WAY.

After a day where many over the southern and southeast inland did not get above 5-6C, it is already bitterly cold, and with cloud clearing, more widespread frost, some severe is possible again over the southern and eastern inland. And another freeze is possible about parts of the southeast.


It dropped to -9C at Cooma this morning!

Freeze conditions that can cause pipes to burst is a significant risk overnight into Wednesday with some locations possibly down as low as -8C along the divide.

Widespread morning frost through the east. The only mitigating factors will be cloud through parts of VIC and fog areas developing earlier through parts of the inland.

Heavy fog may develop overnight and like today take quite awhile to clear through the morning into the afternoon keeping temperatures down. There could be regional flight disruption due to this.
